A seed of compassion to help families was planted in my heart when I was a young child in North Carolina, coping with adjusting to a blended family, family trauma, and the death of my favorite uncle. The nurturing received by a loving community that surrounded our family at the time of loss gave me a great passion to serve those in pain. I longed to have that listening ear as others had listened to me. I began helping my community as a young adult. I started by volunteering in shelters for the homeless and battered women. My work there led me to start a non-profit organization providing resources to families in need and mentorship programs for women and families coping with life transitions. After completing my undergraduate studies, I worked in several Core agencies throughout the metro-Atlanta area serving couples, teens, families, and groups. My divine purpose is to connect with individuals, families, and couples that are in crisis.
My 10 years in various clinical environments have equipped me with the passion and skills to help my community become that safe place. Since receiving my master’s degree from Grand Canyon University, I have practiced in private settings while working toward full licensure in the State of Georgia. I am currently under the supervision of Dr. Mercianna Oliver, Ph.D., CPCS, and Kristen Fraser, LPC, CPCS.
